Hey Everyone!
Today in class we did number of the day and the number was 6918.205. We also corrected our Practise Test with algebraic equations like 7e+8=29 and 4x+2+3x=9. Isfeld gave us word equations where we had to show ALL of our work including the operation, verification and the answer in a sentence.
Eg. There are 2 more than half as many boys in the class as girls. If there are 12 girls how many boys are there.
This is what I came up with...
12/2+2=b
6+2=b
8=b
Verify
12/2+2=b
12/2+2=8
6+2=8
8=8
There are 8 boys in the class.
We corrected the balancing act and these are the answers.....
triangles =3 circles=6
square=1
oval=12
rectangle=11
pentagon=5
